Red-bellied Black Snake, Pseudechis porphyriacus

Red-bellied Black Snakes are diurnal and are dangerous. They are widespread and are found down the east coast of Australia from Cape York to NSW and across to Adelaide. They are often seen sunning themselves on the Mt Lewis Road.
