Prickly
Katydid
Phricta spp.

Despite its fearsome
appearance the Prickly Katydid is harmless, it does not bite and is a leaf
eater. They are found in the rainforests of Queensland and northern NSW. This
specimen quite happily spent the day on our verandah tiles here at Thylogale.
