Red-legged Pademelon (male)
Thylogale stigmatica stigmatica

Male Red-legged pademelons
are considerably larger than females. Rainforest is their preferred habitat
where they feed on a variety of fruits, leaves and fungi. Of
an evening they venture out of the forest and feed on grasses along the forest
edge. Their predators are Dingoes, Tiger Quolls and large
Amethystine Pythons.
Roaming packs of domestic
dogs also pose a significant threat to
the adult breeding males as they are much slower through the undergrowth than
the smaller females and younger males.
Link to a series of photos of two
males fighting.
