Mating flight displays of Crested
Hawks are spectacular, they soar and circle to great heights then swoop and
tumble all the while giving their device characteristic call of "whee,
chee" . They most likely form permanent pair bonds. Both male and female
build the nest and share the incubation and brooding.
Size
Length 350-430 mm; female longer tailed than male.
Nest
A flimsy, cupped structure of sticks, lined with twigs and a layer of green
eucalypt leaves.
Eggs
Two or three, plain white with blue tinge.
