
The Brown Tree Snake is the only arboreal
snake in Australia to be venomous. They have small fangs situated to the rear of
the mouth and are weakly venomous and not considered to be dangerous to humans.
They prey on small mammals and
birds and are often seen around caged birds.
Found in open forest and
rainforest from Cooktown to Sarina.
They are an egg-layer with up to 6
eggs.
Length: to 2 metres
