Flame Tree
Brachychiton
acerifolius

The spectacular red flowers
of the Flame tree can be seen on the rainforest hillsides during our
summer. Often called the Illawarra Flame tree they are commonly used as
street and garden ornamentals. The seeds are contained in a largish case
suspended from the branches and cause severe itching if they come into
contact with skin.
