Ptilinorhynchus violaceus (minor)

Female Satin Bowerbirds
feeding on fruit of the Alexandra Palm.
Satin Bowerbird are found
in rainforest and edges of sclerophyll forest on the east coast and adjacent
ranges of Australia in two main populations. The above are the P.V. minor which
are found above 500 m from Cooktown to Townsville.
